Holiday Fun for Chicagoland Families

As a family law practice, it isn’t surprising to discover that we value quality time with our families. Entering this first full week of December, with packed calendars of parties and family get-togethers, we hope you and your family will take some time to truly enjoy the magic this season has to offer. Here are a few great family events happening in Chicagoland during the holidays:
Zoolights at Lincoln Park Zoo
Through Jan. 2
ZooLights at Lincoln Park Zoo has been a favorite holiday event for more than 25 years, with light displays and seasonal activities throughout the zoo. The event is free on Monday and Tuesday evenings, and $5 all other days.
Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Lights
Through Jan. 3
The annual celebration at the Museum of Science and Industry showcases decorated trees inspired by customs and cultures from countries all around the world. Guests must buy tickets in advance as many fewer than capacity will be sold during the 2021 season.
Christkindlmarket
Through Dec. 24 (Daley Plaza) and through Dec. 31 (Wrigleyville)
Chicagoland’s favorite holiday tradition is back! The Christkindlmarket brings cherished German and European tradition to our community. There are locations in downtown and Wrigleyville. Click the link above for specific dates and times of each location.
Holiday Magic at Brookfield Zoo
Through Dec. 31 (check website for exact dates/times)
Visit Chicagoland’s largest and longest running lights festival with two-million twinkling LED lights, a 41-foot magical tree, a skating rink, and illuminated animal sculptures.
Illumination: Tree Lights at Morton Arboretum
Through Jan. 2
See trees in a different light! You’ll be surrounded by color as you walk a one-mile paved path amid festive music and lighting effects that highlight the beauty of trees in winter.
Naper Lights
Through Jan. 1
Enjoy this free dazzling display of holiday lights and sound as you stroll down Water Street, Foyo Plaza, Jaycees Park and the Riverwalk in Downtown Naperville! Friday and Saturday evenings (weather permitting), you can even grab a photo with Santa alongside the Great Tree.
Reindeer Road
Through Dec. 26
Reindeer Road is a drive-thru Christmas lights attraction featuring a giant lighted reindeer and theatrical lighting. Located at High Point Drive in Naperville, this community event features a mailbox drop for Santa, Christmas music, Christmas photo opportunities and the occasional guest appearance by Santa and Rudolph.
