Estate Planning Services Tailored for You

At Long Law Group, we specialize in providing comprehensive estate planning services designed to protect your assets, honor your wishes, and provide peace of mind for you and your loved ones. Whether you’re creating a will, establishing a trust, or just need powers of attorney, our experienced attorneys are here to guide you every step of the way.

Our Estate Planning Services

We offer a full range of estate planning solutions tailored to meet your unique needs:

  • Wills and Trusts: Ensure your assets are distributed according to your wishes while minimizing court involvement and taxes.
  • Powers of Attorney: Designate trusted individuals to make financial or healthcare decisions on your behalf if you’re unable to do so.
  • Healthcare Directives: Create clear instructions for your medical care, giving your loved ones clarity in difficult times.
  • Asset Protection: Safeguard your legacy from unnecessary taxes, creditors, or other risks.
  • Additional Support Needs Planning: Secure the future of loved ones who needs additional support through tailored trust structures.
  • Deeds: Ensuring your home is held correctly and passes how you intend, whether that’s in your trust, as joint tenants, tenants by the entirety, or a transfer on death instrument.

Our Process

We understand that estate planning can feel overwhelming, but our streamlined approach ensures a clear and comfortable experience:

  1. Initial Consultation: We take the time to learn about you, your family, and your goals. We invite you to come into our office in Chicago or Naperville, meet remotely on Zoom, or chat on the phone.
  2. Customized Plan Design: Based on your unique circumstances, we craft a plan that aligns with your needs and protects your legacy. The vast majority of these plans will be a flat fee.
  3. Document Preparation and Review: We draft precise legal documents, ensuring your intentions are clear and legally enforceable. We then send you the documents to review through our secure, encrypted portal and schedule a second meeting to review the documents together.
  4. Signing: We will host the signing in our office with the witnesses and notary. Your documents will be neatly organized in a binder and tabbed for an efficient signing. We will then scan the documents and send them to you and anyone else you may want to have copies through our secure portal. You will then take your original documents home with you.
  5. Implementation: We will record any Illinois deeds with the county clerk. We will advise you on how to retitle your assets if necessary.
  6. Ongoing Support: Life changes, and so should your plan. We’re here to help you make updates as needed.
